There are several of them, but all of them have the same general theme. They feature overweight children talking about their experience and imply how they are added to his advantage because of their condition. They are quite shocking because they don&#8217;t sugarcoat things despite the fact they feature younger actors. It&#8217;s rather uncomfortable to think what these actors themselves thought about the script they were given in front of the camera. But make no mistake about it, these ads definitely have an impact in some way, but the real question is will they be effective or not?</p>
<p>The people behind the commercials say that they raise awareness especially for parents who are to wear anything wrong. In many parts of Atlanta, apparently being overweight is perfectly natural. The argument is sometimes kids are overweight because parents simply don&#8217;t know they done anything wrong. They continue on with high-fat diets and poor eating choices because that&#8217;s just the way things are, and they don&#8217;t necessarily see obesity as a health risk. It&#8217;s an understandable viewpoint especially when everyone around you is overweight, it might be a big mystery as to why other people would worry about your health. When it&#8217;s a part of the culture, being overweight is a lot more difficult to come back.</p>
<p>People who argue against the ads say they draw even more social stigma to the problem and make overweight people feel worse. Time will tell if posters with an overweight little girl with the caption &#8220;It&#8217;s hard to be a little girl when you&#8217;re not&#8221; is the appropriate method to achieve this goal.</p>

<p>Omega 3 fatty acids are essentials for many functions in our body, including memory and heart health, as well as being an anti-inflammatory.  Studies have shown that the majority of Americans are deficient in Omega 3&#8242;s.  Therefore, it is important for people with psoriasis to get Omega 3-rich fatty fish (salmon, trout, tuna, mackerel), walnuts, and flaxseed in their diets.  Spinach and romaine lettuce are incredibly nutrient-dense and great for overall health.  I don&#8217;t want to hear the excuse &#8220;I don&#8217;t like the taste of vegetables&#8221;; you need to eat them every day.  Some of my personal favorite vegetables are broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and zucchini.</p>
<p>Fruit is a close second to vegetables in importance for psoriasis sufferers.  They are chalk full of vitamins and nutrients that aid in keeping all parts of our body healthy and functioning at their optimal levels. <p>As far as foods (and drinks) psoriasis sufferers should avoid, or at least minimize drastically, there might be some things that are a bit of a surprise.  Processed foods are an obvious item to stay away from as much as possible.  Citrus foods, including lemons, limes, and grapefruits, should be avoided as they may cause a psoriasis flare-up.  I have found the &#8220;nightshades&#8221; like tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes to cause psoriasis breakouts sometimes as well, so watch your skin to see if they cause any sort of reaction.</p>
<p>Alcohol is the number one worst thing for many people with psoriasis.  I have seen it first hand &#8211; I was in college when I first got psoriasis and my skin would breakout every time I had one too many with my friends.  Every type of alcohol is bad for <a href="http://www.battlingpsoriasis.com/">psoriasis</a>, whether it&#8217;s white wine, beer, rum, or whiskey.  If there is NO WAY you can possibly go without having alcohol, at least minimize it as much as possible. <p>Powerlifting, in contrast, only focuses on a few exercises. I&#8217;ve found the best exercises for powerlifting are deadlifts, squats, bench press, bent over rows, pull-ups and clean jerks. On Tuesday and Thursday split these six exercises into three per day. You&#8217;re going to lift much heavier on these days. You&#8217;re going to need to take longer breaks between sets, because powerlifting is more strenuous on your whole body.  Don&#8217;t focus on form, just focus on moving the weight. You should have to cheat to complete your reps, in fact. You should be able to do no more than about seven repetitions per set. This number will decrease after each set. Keep going until you can only do one or two repetitions per set. Don&#8217;t worry about focusing on any particular muscle group. These exercises will build your strength and size as a whole. Your goal is to complete each repetition by any means possible, however, you do need to be careful not to hurt yourself. A powerlifting session should last anywhere from 60 to 90 min.</p>
<p>With this training program and the right diet and supplementation, you&#8217;ll see gains very quickly, in the areas of muscle size, strength, muscle definition and separation. Make sure you&#8217;re getting enough high quality calories every day, or your body won&#8217;t have the nutrients it needs to grow. A good way to split up your calories is 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates and 20% fat. If you&#8217;re trying to burn fat at the same time, you should cut the carbs down even more and replace them with more protein. Limit your sugar intake is much as possible, as this is one of the most effective ways to decrease body fat. It was related to the Kirstie Alley fiasco where their previous spokesperson couldn&#8217;t live up to her promises anymore. But this was good news for Bertinelli because now she would have a chance to step up to the plate. This is a prime example where exposure can lead to good things because now Bertinelli is back on TV as part of the sitcom.</p>
<p><strong>Jenny McCarthy &#8211; Weight Watchers</strong><br />
We&#8217;re not really sure who fans of Jenny McCarthy are. You might suspect they are man, but you guys really want someone who is so disgusting? Nobody who thinks of Jenny McCarthy thinks of a sex symbol who once posed in Playboy. Every chance she gets, she appears on live television picking your nose or making fark noises. There really is nothing sexy about her, and we don&#8217;t imagine women find are particularly relatable. And yet she is a spokesperson for Weight Watchers &#8211; is that really a good choice?</p>
<p><strong>Queen Latifah &#8211; Jenny Craig</strong><br />
The first lady of hip-hop is perfectly affable and there&#8217;s really nothing to complain about when it comes to her. There&#8217;s just one slight problem, hasn&#8217;t she always been kind of big? We haven&#8217;t really noticed any type of weight loss, or at least not enough to warrant a gig with Jenny Craig.</p>

It&#8217;s probably best for her to just ignore her weight because that&#8217;s all we hear about. It&#8217;s really only an issue now if she chooses to bring it up, and she was smart she move on to something else.</p>

Who loves money? Larry the cable Guy that&#8217;s who. He is one of arguably the worst standup comics of all time, and why on earth would anyone listen to him when it comes to weight loss? He doesn&#8217;t really talk like that, and you can bet he doesn&#8217;t go throughout the day behaving anything remotely to what you see on stage. She is so horrible to look at that she is likely to send people away from a product rather than attracting them. With no discernible talents and a face that would scare the devil, this is probably one of the worst celebrity endorsement choices out there.</p>

This is a good choice for a celebrity endorsement although her commercials are rather annoying. It seems that she can&#8217;t stop shouting throughout them. Some people might call it singing, but to the untrained ear it sounds like she&#8217;s shouting everything at the top of her lungs. Okay so you lost some weight, we get it, how about talking in a normal voice.</p>
<p><strong>Carrie Fisher &#8211; Jenny Craig</strong><br />
If she can pull it off, this is one success story we definitely like to see. In the beginning stages of her endorsement deal, it was actually pretty sad. We knew her history and how much weight she gain, and it was rather shocking to see how far she had come. This was definitely not the Carrie Fisher we wanted to remember, so it&#8217;s nice that she starting to get some results. She still got a long way to go and it depends on our ultimate goals, but really hope that she can get back to looking like Princess Leia.</p>
<p><strong>Marie Osmond – Nurtisystem</strong><br />
Although were not terribly excited about this choice, it does seem like a good one from a business standpoint. Marie Osmond has fans across North America, and many of them are in the exact demographic that weight loss programs target. People tend to trust her and there is still a lot of goodwill left over from when she was actually famous.</p>
<p><strong>Jason Alexander &#8211; Jenny Craig</strong><br />
This is probably the most bizarre choice that any weight-loss company has ever made. Who in their right mind would watch a commercial for weight loss featuring Jason Alexander and be so enthralled that they feel compelled to sign up for the program? He has almost no impact on the female demographic, and the guys who enjoyed him from Seinfeld are the type to join up for Jenny Craig. Why this choice? We will probably never know, not that there&#8217;s anything wrong with that.</p>
